Neuro-scanning and Reporting with COREscore™

The INSIGHT provides you and your Chiropractor a comprehensive picture of your neurospinal health using the COREscore & COREscore+ report of findings. These features are exclusive to the INSIGHT technology and represents one of the biggest breakthroughs in chiropractic assessment in the past 20 years.

With the ability to consolidate the results from sEMG, Thermal and HRV Scans or all 5 tests by adding the wROM and Algometry into a single overall impression, your chiropractor can make more accurate care recommendations and have better clarity regarding your overall care plan.

We utilize space-certified technology to objectively pinpoint where the spinal misalignment is. We measure muscle activity, inflammation, and heart rate variability to determine your individual neuro-spinal health with a Health Score of 0-100. This allows us to provide the most effective care and track the effectiveness of our treatment.

Patients and chiropractors alike have long needed a single tangible goal for ongoing chiropractic care. With the INSIGHT’s COREscore & COREscore+ Reporting, you now have it!

Class 4 Deep Tissue Laser Therapy by LightForce

LightForce is a leading medical device manufacturing company bringing advanced laser technology and innovative solutions to the health care industry. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy accelerates your body’s own natural healing process through photo-bio-stimulation. This decreases pain and inflammation and improves function on the cellular level. Laser therapy provides immediate benefits to our patients and is effective in treating sprains/strains, chronic conditions, acute conditions and post-surgical pain.

Non-surgical Spinal Decompression

Non-surgical, comfortable traction for the relief of back and leg pain or neck and arm pain. This therapy is designed to unload the spinal discs which helps patients suffering with herniated/bulged/protruded discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica or radiculopathy (pinched nerve).

Chiropractic Adjustments

Adjustments in our office are safe and comfortable for patients of all ages, from babies to seniors. We utilize our hands, a Thompson Drop-Table or an instrument to adjust the subluxated vertebrae. You may hear a noise that sounds like cracking knuckles, referred to as joint cavitation; this is simply the release of gases, such as oxygen and nitrogen, as fluid is restored and able to nourish the cartilage in our joints. Some techniques do not include this audible sound. We listen to our patients, and pride ourselves on the ability to customize their care to fit their preference and needs.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is an excellent method for improving overall health and musculoskeletal efficiency, and it has a number of beneficial effects on the body and mind. These include removal of toxins that can build up in muscles, increased circulation, and increased flexibility in not only the muscles, but also the connective tissue within the body.

Massage also can help with muscle spasms as well as soft tissue injuries. Increasing the movement and reducing the overall recovery time by helping the body in the healing process. In addition, consistent massage has been known to increase balance.

Massage Therapy has proven to assist in the healing of a large number of conditions including back pain, surgery recovery, eating and sleep disorders as well as high blood pressure and diabetes among others.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an exceptional way to help the body in the healing process. This is accomplished by sending a very small electrical current into the affected soft tissue injury or muscle spasm. The therapy utilizes this current in an effort to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that may have the muscle locked up. It does this by helping the body to release natural relievers of pain often referred to as endorphins.

This is a great therapy if there is a spasm in a back or neck muscle. It works well in relaxing the muscle and allowing it to return to its normal state rather quickly. Short therapy sessions are excellent at facilitating healing from acute and chronic pain.

Heat/Roller Table

Heat/roller table is offered to relax the spine before the adjustment. It creates a soothing, gentle, passive intersegmental traction effect on the muscles, ligament and joints of the spine.

DOT Physicals

Dr. Tilene Figeroa is certified to perform DOT Physicals.

Driver Medical Fitness for Duty

For commercial motor vehicle drivers, the most important safety feature is YOU—the driver! Each time you turn the key, you are responsible for your own safety, as well as the safety of all the people who share the road with you. The physical examination you take for your medical certificate confirms that you are healthy enough to safely perform the demanding job of a CMV driver and keep our Nation’s roads safe.—FMCSA

Please come prepared for your physical exam! If you are currently taking prescribed medications please bring a list of all medications along with dosage and the name of your prescribing physician. If you currently use a CPAP machine, please bring a compliance print out. To obtain this contact your prescribing physician. If you are diabetic be sure to bring your last blood lab results including your most recent Hemoglobin A1c. Do not forget your glasses or corrective lenses if needed to drive with.

It is my goal to work with you to keep you on the road while keeping your safety and the safety of other drivers my number one priority. The FMCSA has very specific rules and regulations that I am required to follow as a Certified Medical Examiner. That being said, most drivers are found to be medically fit to drive. Knowing this ahead of time should help alleviate some of the anxiety you may have coming in to take your exam. If you have a known health condition that you have been driving with please make sure you have been compliant with your treatment for that condition. This will not only help alleviate some of your anxiety but it will also make the process much smoother.

When you arrive you will be asked a series of health questions along with follow-up questions if any of them apply to you. I urge you to be as honest as you can because at that point you will have signed this statement:

I certify that the above information is complete and true. I understand that inaccurate, false or missing information may invalidate the examination and my Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

At this point you will have your vitals taken. Your blood pressure must be at or below 140/90 without using a prescription medication to be able to obtain a 2 yr medical certificate, if the remainder of the exam is normal. You may be given a temporary medical card or denied a medical card due to high blood pressure.

You will also be asked for a small sample of urine for a urinalysis. I will be looking for any abnormal findings specifically glucose (sugar), blood, and protein. I will also document the specific gravity. This may be used to identify any underlying conditions.

A visual acuity test will be performed. According to the FMCSA vision must be 20/40 or better in both eyes. You may use your corrective lenses for this test. If you have a condition that limits the ability of one eye but are otherwise fit to drive you may obtain a vision waiver. If you know of this condition, please have this done previous to having your medical exam done. Please click here to be directed to the vision waiver application—VISION WAIVER

Following these I will perform a general physical exam that will address all systems of the body including general appearance, eyes, ears, mouth and throat, heart, lungs, abdomen, vascular, genito-urinary, limbs, musculoskeletal, and neurological.

If all findings are within normal limits, you will be given a 2 year medical certificate. If there are abnormal findings there will be further testing required to qualify for a medical card. Occasionally if this happens a temporary card may be given if the concern is not putting your safety or the safety of other drivers at risk. If at that time you are not qualified for a temporary medical certificate you may still be eligible in the future once the medical concern is addressed and treated and you can show that you have been compliant with treatment.

Again, it is my top priority to make sure your safety and the safety of other drivers is not being compromised by underlying health conditions. If you struggle with obesity, blood pressure or diabetes please be sure to schedule extra time to talk to me about nutrition and lifestyle changes you could be making.

Permanent Partial Disability Ratings

Dr. Melissa Perotti is a Designated State of Nevada Impairment Rater, and has been doing Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) ratings since 2005.

Foot Levelers

We can easily assess your feet with our Foot Leveler laser-optic scanner to produce custom orthotics. The scan provides information about your feet, such as if you have pronation, eversion, or need a heel lift. This information allows our lab to create custom shoe inserts to achieve better alignment from the feet up. This helps with foot, ankle, knee or back pain and provides more energy, as well as support between adjustments.
