“In short, the No. 1 barrier to improved performance on the golf course is the physical fitness and conditioning of the person swinging the club,” says Dr. Blanchard. “If you can improve your golf-specific flexibility and golf-specific stability, you can become a more powerful and more consistent golfer."

Our People

Dr. Melissa Perotti, D.C.

Dr. Perotti was born in Alaska and grew up on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. After attending the 1000 hour massage therapy program at Hawaiian Island School of Body Therapies, she attended UH-West Hawaii. After completing her prerequisites for chiropractic college, she was off to California. In October of 2000 she started chiropractic college at Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW) in Hayward, California. All through college, she worked as a licensed massage therapist continually gaining knowlege and palpation skills. After graduation from LCCW in March of 2004, she moved to Reno, NV and began working as an associate with another chiropractor. This was valuable time spent gaining the skills and knowlege of having a successful family chiropractic clinic. In November of 2006 Dr. Perotti proudly opened her office in North West Reno. Since opening, this office has become a fun, busy family practice, with an emphasis on sports. Dr. Perotti is the chiropractor for our very own Reno Aces.

Jim LoConte D.C.

Dr. Jim was raised in south Australia until the age of 13 at which time his parents moved to Cupertino, CA to be closer to family. Dr. Jim attended Monta Vista H.S. in Cupertino and after graduating attended San Diego Sate University for two years transferred to Calpoly-SLO for the next 3 years earning a bachelors degree in Biology and Kinesiology. Dr. Jim started Chiropractic school in the fall of 1990 at Palmer West in Sunnyvale, CA, graduating in 1993 with a degree in chiropractic. During his last year in Chiropractic school he did an internship with Allen Cheng DC, the team chiropractor for the Oakland A’s. After graduating he began practicing in Los Altos, CA where he continues to work part time. He has been practicing Chiropractic for the last 23 years. Dr. Jim moved to Reno a year ago where he is able to enjoy his favorite activities of dirt bike riding, fishing, camping and boating with his wife and two kids.

Monika, Massage Therapist

I was born and raised in Hungry. After high school, I was a professional handball player and my team had a massage therapist. Nothing felt better on my tired aching muscles than a massage. When I finished with handball, I decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. I attended massage school in Hungry with a focus in the energy work known as Prana-Nadi. I learned the basic technique of medical, deep tissue, and sport massage. In 1995 I moved to Reno, Nevada and continued taking classes for massage. I specialize in sports massage, deep tissue, prenatal, neuro-muscular massage, hot stone, face lifting, lymphatic drainage, carpal tunnel, and sciatica.

Jason, Massage Therapist (South Reno)

Born in Anaheim California and moved to Reno at the age of 7 to be close to the mountains clean air and less traffic! I was attending the University of Phoenix for a business degree and pursuing personal training when me and my wife decided to go to the Milan Institutes massage program. I originally went to massage school to get a better understanding of anatomy to be a better personal trainer but fell in love with what massage can do to help the body recover and achieve proper health. I believe along with chiropractic, and routine massage, people can avoid surgery and medications. I specialize in integrative therapy, PNF, sports, stretching techniques, pre-natal, myofacial release and continue to learn advanced therapies.

Kayla Claiborne

Born and raised in Reno, two time TMCC honors graduate and current business student at the University of Nevada Reno. Kayla was introduced into the Medical field as a young child and has had a passion to be involved ever since. Kayla is a licensed Medial Coder, Certified Nursing Assistant, Chiropractic Assistant, and NAET technician; With an extensive background in functional nutrition, chronic illness, patient care and practice management. While most of Kayla’s early medical experience was with hands on patient care, she has spent the last 8 years in administration. Being part of the administrative team allows Kayla to interact with patients while providing a fulfilling position in management. My goal is to make sure our team is well trained, confident, and comfortable while providing the best possible patient care!

Brittany Minor

Brittany was born in California but moved to Nevada as an infant. She grew up in small town Nevada playing sports, riding horses and enjoying the desert life. She graduated from Silver Stage High School in 2011. After high school she was ready to move on to bigger things and left her small town living and moved to California. She grew her family as she managed a grocery store in Northern California. After the birth of her daughter her family moved back to her home state. This is when she found Advanced Health Chiropractic and she had always been interested in Alternative Healthcare. Her favorite part of being in the AHC family is watching patients advance in their health without pain or pharmaceuticals.

Samantha Fazzio

Samantha Fazzio spent some of her childhood in the foggy town of Pacifica, CA before moving to Reno, NV with her family in May of 2001. After moving out of the city her parents decied to buy land and create a small farm just north of Reno. She grew up an active member of 4H and FFA, before graduating from Truckee Meadows Community College High School in 2009. She continued her education with TMCC and after caring for a disabled neighbor and finding a love and passion for helping people, she decided to find a career in healthcare. She worked for 5 years as a Caregiver while completing basic college requirements and finding what field would suit her best. In 2015 she got her Nursing Assistant Certificate and worked in a Physical Rehabilitation Hospital before joining Advanced Health Chiropractic.
